Poster for ARISE 2011

I designed this poster for ARISE 2011, an arts fair that my church holds every year. The prompt was: What does it mean to be Alive. If you're in Norwalk and feel like seeing it in person stop by 18 Knight St. (Church Office Location), from 6 to 9 p.m.

Frank Chimero – How to have an idea

I was looking back through some old blog posts recently and was surprised to find that I didn't post Frank Chimero's Idea post here. It's a great look into the hard work required when developing a concept.

I spend my days worrying about line, color, composition and choice of typeface, but when things like this happen design doesn't feel quite so important.

Lettercult – Best of 2010

Here's one sample from Like Minded Studio:

LetterMPress — Virtual LetterPress App

I got an email a few days ago from Bonadies Creative announcing the launch of LetterMPress on kickstarter.com. LetterMPress is a virtual letterpress for the iPad. It features authentic wood type and vintage art "cuts."

It looks like it's going to be great, and there's still time to help support the project.
